CaliRoad Trip Part 2
La Jolla trip!
I always forget how stinky La Jolla is because the seal lion caves, if you do not like the smell of rotten fish, or dog ass DO NOT GO.
One time I went on a kayaking trip here and the smell made me throw up, do not recommend!
But anyways it’s an absolutely beautiful beach and if you could handle the smell, I’d suggest stopping here!
La Jolla is known for its breathtaking coastal views and diverse marine life, making it a must-visit on any California road trip. While the seal lion caves attract visitors with their unique wildlife, they also come with a potent odor that many find off-putting, especially during the summer months when the heat intensifies the smell. For those unbothered by the aroma of the ocean, La Jolla offers exhilarating activities like kayaking, snorkeling, and enjoying picturesque sunsets. In addition to its natural beauty, La Jolla is home to quirky attractions like the renowned swap meet, where you can find everything from vintage clothing to unique local crafts. Your adventure doesn’t end at the beach; the vibrant community offers a variety of restaurants boasting delectable seafood and outdoor dining options that overlook the stunning Pacific coastline. Don’t forget to check out the local art installations and the opportunity to spot playful baby sea-gulls, which add charm to the already enchanting environment. For those looking to extend their outdoor experience, consider visiting nearby Torrey Pines State Reserve, known for its impressive hiking trails and beautiful vistas. Pack your bags, bring your sense of adventure, and prepare yourself for a memorable California road trip filled with beautiful landscapes, amazing wildlife, and unforgettable moments in La Jolla!
