Transitional fall fragrance

You guys I literally cannot even fathom the fact that it’s basically fall. It’s so crazy to me that it’s already September. Obviously, with the changing of the seasons comes the changing of perfumes, and I have found the best transitional fall fragrance.

This summer, I found myself wearing a lot of vanilla under toned sense, and there is no fragrance better to use for the fall time and a woodsy-vanilla scent like YSL libre. I know the price point can be a little bit crazy, especially for the smallest size, so I found you guys an alternative.

I will say the LUSH fragrance is warmer and smells more gourmand whereas YSL libre smells fresh and is more of a night time scent. Love both of these for fall!!

... Read moreOkay, let's dive a little deeper into that amazing LUSH fragrance I mentioned – because honestly, it deserves its own moment! While YSL Libre is undeniably chic and perfect for those crisp fall evenings, I know the price tag can be a bit of a commitment. That's where my LUSH discovery comes in, serving up similar cozy, vanilla-infused vibes without breaking the bank. If you're like me and were constantly reaching for those vanilla-undertoned scents all summer, you're going to fall head over heels for this one as the weather cools. The LUSH fragrance I adore (and yes, it's often associated with the beautiful Chelsea Morning scent profile by many perfume lovers!) is pure comfort in a bottle. Imagine a warm, inviting embrace – that's what you get. It leans much more gourmand than YSL Libre, with a rich sweetness that’s never cloying, balanced by just enough woodsy warmth to make it feel sophisticated and autumnal. It’s the kind of scent that makes you want to curl up with a good book and a warm drink. What makes it such a brilliant alternative to YSL Libre for a transitional fall scent? YSL Libre, with its lavender and orange blossom notes, has that fresh, bright, almost masculine-leaning elegance, making it ideal for a night out or when you want to feel powerful. The LUSH alternative, on the other hand, excels during the day or for those cozier, more casual fall moments. It's approachable, comforting, and has this incredible way of making you feel effortlessly put-together. I've found its longevity to be surprisingly good for a more affordable option, often lingering beautifully on my skin and clothes for hours, slowly evolving into a soft, creamy dry-down. And for those curious about the bottle, which was mentioned in the OCR – it's a charmingly simple, small clear bottle with a practical black cap and a clean white label. It’s unpretentious but perfectly functional, making it easy to pop into your bag. I love that it lets the scent speak for itself, focusing on the quality of the juice inside rather than an elaborate presentation. The contrast between the minimalist LUSH bottle and the more ornate YSL Libre bottle (often depicted with its distinctive frosted pink hue in some versions, or the clear amber one you see in my pics!) is quite striking, but both hold treasures. Layering these two can also be magical! A spritz of the LUSH as a base, followed by a hint of YSL Libre, creates a complex, multi-dimensional scent that takes you from day to night seamlessly. It really extends the life of both and combines their best qualities. So, if you're hunting for that perfect fall fragrance that's both warm and comforting, and perhaps a bit more budget-friendly than some high-end options, definitely give this LUSH gem a sniff. It's quickly become a staple in my autumn fragrance wardrobe!
