Which cool toned pink liner looks the best?

Hi guys! Happy holidays x

I want your opinions! Which cool toned lipliner looks the best on me? I love a cooler toned liner since my undertone runs neutral. If I use a color that’s too warm it looks orange! So I’m trying to pick the best one and I’ve narrowed it down to the below options:

1: colour pop in the shade beeper, or 2: wonder skin in the shade blush.

Which of the two options do you guys prefer on me? I usually use beeper for nighttime since it’s a little dark, and wonder skin blush for day to day since it’s basically the perfect “your lips but better” shade for me.

What do you think?

... Read moreIt's such a common struggle to find that perfect cool-toned pink lip liner, isn't it? I totally get what you mean about warm tones looking orange – it's a nightmare for those of us with neutral or cooler undertones! I've been on a similar journey myself, constantly swatching and searching for that 'your lips but better' shade that genuinely complements my skin without washing me out or looking too stark. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is to always look for shades with a hint of blue or even a muted berry undertone, rather than anything that leans peachy or coral. Those warm undertones are the culprits that turn orange on some complexions. When I'm in the store, I try to swatch on both my hand and my actual lip line, because the natural color of your lips can really alter how a liner appears. A shade that looks perfectly cool on my arm might suddenly pull warm on my lips due to my natural pigmentation. Speaking of options, while ColourPop lippie pencils like 'Beeper' are fantastic for their creamy formula and color range, and Wonderskin 'Blush' sounds like a dream for everyday wear, I've also ventured into other brands. For anyone else struggling, I’d highly recommend checking out the NYX Suede Matte Lip Liners. I’ve found shades like 'Soft Spoken' or 'Tea & Cookies' to be surprisingly cool-toned pinks that work beautifully for many. They're super affordable too, which is a huge bonus when you're experimenting! Another hidden gem I stumbled upon is the Milani Color Statement Lip Liner in 'All Natural' – it's a great everyday cool nude-pink that pairs well with so many lipsticks. I’ve also had success with some of the Maybelline Color Sensational Shaping Lip Liners, particularly in shades that lean more towards dusty rose rather than bright fuchsia. Beyond just choosing the right shade, application makes a huge difference. To make my cool-toned liner last all day, I usually start by gently exfoliating my lips, then applying a tiny bit of lip balm and blotting it off. This creates a smooth canvas. Then, I define my lip shape with the liner, carefully filling in the corners and cupid's bow. If I want extra longevity, I'll lightly fill in my entire lip with the liner before applying lipstick or gloss. This acts like a base, making the lip color adhere better and last longer, especially useful for those darker, evening shades like the ColourPop Beeper you mentioned. For a fuller look, I sometimes slightly overline my lips, but I find with cool-toned pinks, it's crucial to stay very close to your natural lip line to avoid an unnatural appearance. A crisp, clean line is key. And always remember to blend any harsh edges with your finger or a small brush, especially if you're going for a more natural 'your lips but better' look, which sounds like what Wonderskin Blush achieves for you. Don't forget to consider the finish too – some cool pinks can look chalky if they're too matte, so a satin or slightly creamy finish often looks more natural and flattering. It’s truly a journey to find your perfect cool-toned pink, but it's so worth it when you finally discover those shades that make your entire complexion pop. Keep experimenting, and don't be afraid to try different brands and formulas.
