Need To Knows For Photographers
As someone who recently started exploring photography with a Canon camera, I found mastering these fundamental settings made a huge difference in image quality and creativity. Using the viewfinder instead of the LCD screen helped me compose shots more precisely, especially in bright sunlight where screen glare is an issue. Shooting in RAW format has been a game-changer — it preserves much more detail and color, giving me flexibility during post-processing to enhance my photos significantly. Manual mode initially seemed intimidating, but learning to balance ISO, shutter speed, and aperture (the exposure triangle) has empowered me to take more intentional and well-exposed photos. I learned that raising ISO slightly is sometimes better than risking blurry shots from slow shutter speeds, particularly when shooting handheld or in low light. Cleaning the lens regularly is something I often neglected before, but it really does improve sharpness and reduces the chance of unwanted spots in images. White balance can be tricky, but setting a custom white balance based on your environment helps speed up editing and ensures your photos have accurate, pleasing colors straight out of the camera. These practical tips and settings are essential for anyone starting out and looking to develop strong photography skills, particularly when using Canon cameras for portraits, landscapes, or dynamic photoshoots.

I have the Canon Rebel T6 and I struggle still trying to get the right settings myself. But this is really helpful. I have been using my camera a lot but this is one of my favorite photos I have takin off the camera for sure
