SpaceX operates on fixed-price contracts.
They only get paid when they deliver. No delivery, no money. So they caught rockets with chopsticks. Landed boosters on barges in the ocean. Reused hardware. Moved fast.
Boeing had the legacy. They built the 747. The Apollo program. The Space Shuttle.
Then they merged with McDonnell Douglas and hired accountants to run engineering.
SpaceX moved to Texas and built Starbase in the desert.
