Neil med wound wash: this is what I recommend to everyone who’s on a budget and you can get it anywhere and everywhere it does wonders

H2ocean: I like this spray but not much comes in the can but I’ve used this for over a year and it still helps keeping those holes clean

recovery after care Dead Sea salt and tea tree oil set:

This is my favorite by far using 100% tea tree oil on new and irritated bumps heals them like magic the smell will be strong of course but it’s worth every single penny

... Read moreSince getting my first piercing years ago, and now having nine, I've truly become an expert in aftercare – often through trial and error! Beyond the incredible products I mentioned earlier, I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why good aftercare is so critical and share more tips that have literally saved my piercings from disaster. You might be wondering, why is sterile saline solution the gold standard? From my experience, and what professionals recommend, it's because it's isotonic and pH-balanced, mimicking your body's natural fluids. This means it cleans wounds without causing further irritation or drying them out. Products like Neil Med Wound Wash and H2Ocean Piercing Spray are fantastic because they deliver a fine mist of this sterile solution, making it super easy to clean those hard-to-reach areas without touching the piercing. The OCR even highlights "Sterile Saline Solution Ready-to-Use Isotonic Drug Free • Preservative Fre No Burning or Stinging," which perfectly sums up why these are superior. I personally love NeilMed for its consistent, wide spray and how readily available it is, perfect for keeping things clean daily. Speaking of those pesky piercing bumps, I know the struggle! While tea tree oil has been a miracle worker for me, it's crucial to use it correctly. I always dilute 100% tea tree oil with a carrier oil like jojoba or even a few drops in my Dead Sea salt soak. Applying it neat can be too harsh for sensitive, healing tissue. My "recovery after care Dead Sea salt and tea tree oil set" has been a game-changer precisely because of this combination. The natural minerals in Dead Sea salt, as opposed to just plain table salt, are incredibly healing and can help reduce inflammation and shrink those irritation bumps. The OCR mentions "Sea Salt," reinforcing this natural healing power. Many of you might be curious about H2Ocean vs NeilMed, a common debate! Both are excellent saline sprays. NeilMed, in my opinion, offers a larger quantity for the price and a more consistent spray. H2Ocean, while I find it effective, tends to run out quicker due to its smaller can, as I mentioned. However, H2Ocean often includes additional natural ingredients like lysozyme (as seen in the OCR: "Sea Salt . Lysozyme"), which some people find beneficial for extra healing. It really comes down to personal preference and budget, but you can't go wrong with either for general cleaning. For specific concerns like "nipple piercing cleaning saline," the same principles apply. A gentle, sterile saline spray is paramount. You want to avoid anything that could strip the natural oils or introduce harsh chemicals. This is why you should never use things like alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or even bactine for piercings (a common query, but best avoided for initial healing as it contains antiseptics that can be too strong). These can actually delay healing and cause more irritation. Stick to your sterile saline! In my journey with nine piercings, these "PIERCING SPRAYS THAT SAVEDME" have been indispensable. Consistent cleaning, gentle care, and knowing which products truly support healing are key. Remember, patience is also a huge part of the aftercare process!
