sketchbook spread with posca markers

My posca markers are almost dead so I was limited with color options here but I love the way the teal and pink looks together ✨🩷⚗️

POSCA PROS + CONS

👍Pros: highly pigmented, opaque color, its easy to be super detailed with these markers, they’re water based so they wash off surfaces nicely.

🤔Cons: expensive if you go through them a lot, they dry out quickly if you work on larger pieces, the paint can leak everywhere if they arent stored properly.

Overall I really enjoy posca paint markers but dupes like arrtx markers on amazon are a better starting point if you arent confident or you dont think you’ll use them often!

... Read morePosca markers are a favorite among artists for their rich pigmentation and versatility. With a water-based formula, they allow for easy cleanup and excellent color application on various surfaces. However, they come with their challenges. Prices can add up quickly, especially for those working on larger artworks. Plus, without proper storage, they may dry out or leak, which can be frustrating. If you're new to this medium, consider starting with more affordable alternatives like Arrtx markers, which offer similar qualities at a lower price. As you gain confidence, transitioning to Posca markers could elevate your art with bold colors, detailed work, and the ability to create beautiful textures. This transition allows budding artists to experiment more freely while mastering their unique style.
