What’s in My Diaper Bag as a Mom of Two Toddlers
We’re in the toddler phase and my diaper bag has definitely lightened up over the years. I’m still not confident enough to leave it behind for most outings, but I am able to keep it light and minimal!
FOR MY TODDLERS:
Extra clothes - At least one full outfit change for each kid. Whether it’s potty accidents or playing too hard at the park, it’s always a good idea.
Pull ups - for car naps, along with a changing pad incase we need to change.
Wipes - I will carry wipes with me for the rest of my life. They can solve any problem.
Medicine - I try to use medicine as a last resort, but we’ve had the tendency of getting sick when traveling, so it’s there for fever relief.
Snacks - the number one most needed item. Keeping multiples and varieties is very important.
FOR MYSELF:
Wallet - DL and you never know when you’ll need money, like for a coffee or peaceful meal during a car nap 😉
Hair Tie - most days my hair is down and I need to be prepared for playing anything at the park
Chapstick - I always carry chapstick.
Sunglasses - for sunny days 😎
Not pictured - car keys
Any other toddler moms out there carrying the same things as me?

As a mom navigating the toddler years, it's essential to stay organized and prepared, especially when packing your diaper bag. The toddler phase often brings unpredictable situations, making it crucial to include extra clothes for unexpected messes. Whether it's during playtime at the park or a surprise potty situation, an extra outfit can save the day. Additionally, having pull-ups and wipes readily available is key for quick clean-ups and car naps. Snacks are also a parent's best friend—carrying various healthy options can keep your kids happy and avoid meltdowns during outings. For moms, your bag should include essentials like a wallet for those impromptu coffee runs and personal care items like chapstick and sunglasses. Staying prepared not only helps tackle the day’s challenges but also allows you to enjoy the moments, whether it’s a well-deserved break during nap time or a fun day at the park with your little ones. Engaging with fellow moms can also provide additional tips on what essentials to pack, creating a community where shared experiences can lead to better solutions for daily outings.
