GOT DUBBLE CERTIFIED /STILL FEELS ITS NOT ENOUGH

So I’ve been certified in both phlebotomy and medical assistant I’ve been a certified phlebotomist for about a year and 2 1/2 months. Every job applied for I need more experience, which is crazy cause when you apply it says you just gotta be having your NHA for phlebotomy, which I have but still nothing…. Now I’ve been certified in medical assistant clinical medical assistant at that for about the same time a year and two months and it’s the same story they want to year to three years and even though you do externship, they still will not give you a-shot…… and the crazy part is I was told that medical assistance was in high to me. I’m not really understanding like who can really in not to mention I’m doing all of this by myself three sons by myself raising them the best I can and get turned on by literally every job I apply for even regular jobs that has nothing to do with the medical field….

... Read moreEntering the healthcare field as a certified professional can be daunting, especially with escalating experience requirements. Many job seekers, like certified phlebotomists and medical assistants, often face disappointing responses despite qualifications. Phlebotomy and medical assistant roles are crucial in healthcare, yet experience has become an often-unrealistic hurdle. Obtaining certifications, such as from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA), is a commendable achievement, yet it does not always translate into job opportunities. It's important to leverage externships effectively, showcasing hands-on training to potential employers. Networking within the healthcare community can also provide valuable insights and open doors to job opportunities. Consider reaching out to mentors or joining professional groups tailored for healthcare certifications. Moreover, exploring alternative career paths within healthcare or related fields might yield promising results. Jobs in administrative roles related to healthcare or home health assistance can utilize your expertise while gaining additional experience. Remember, persistence is key in the job search, coupled with continual skill enhancement and networking efforts.

For Phelb tech - I started at 24.50 after getting NHA certified- trust me - apply for lab tech jobs at your hospitals ( The VA as well as- they are great for hiring recent grads) now I own my business as a lab tech - trust me it’s enough - just work on getting sufficient experience and you’ll soar!!!

Congratulations 🎊 I understand the feeling I have been certified as a phlebotomist for 3 years & haven’t been able to get a job in the field. I’ve been to so many interviews in the last 3 months & have not heard back from any. But I always say rejection is protection and a way better job is on the way🙌🏾
