It’s me! Hi! I’m the Problem! 👋

Hi! I was definitely nervous making this!
I’m Emma, and I’m a university student majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Animation.
I love all things fashion, reading, running, baking, drawing, and — of course — coding and animating!!
I want to form good study and life habits because I’m working on balance, being happy and feeling less anxious.
This will be like my diary, where I’ll share the ups and downs of my messy “glow up” from the beginning and track my progress.
I’m taking a very rigorous summer class away from home, so I’m using the opportunity to start the habits and routines I’ve always wanted to create!
I’m using Ali Abdaal’s Feel Good Productivity and James Clear’s Atomic Habits to start myself off and I hope to share my thoughts! (And I’d love to hear yours!! 🤗)
I’ll share my precise plan later, just in case anyone is interested in doing it with me, but otherwise I’m just trying to keep myself accountable and make new friends!!! Lots of love!!
Hi! I'm Emma! And I know, starting a new journey can feel a bit daunting, right? Especially when you're laying it all out there for the world to see. But that's exactly why I decided to kick off my Lemon8 diary with a proper introduction. I'm a university student, diving deep into Computer Science while also nurturing my creative side with an Animation minor. It's a busy life, and honestly, sometimes it feels like I'm juggling too many balls! That's where my big 'glow up' project comes in. For me, a glow up isn't just about external changes; it's about building a stronger, happier, and more balanced self from the inside out. I've realized that to truly thrive, I need to get a handle on my study habits, find more balance between my demanding academic life and my passions like fashion, reading, running, baking, drawing, coding, and animating. And, let's be real, I'm really working on managing that pesky anxiety that often creeps in when things get overwhelming. This summer, I'm taking a rigorous class away from home, which feels like the perfect clean slate to implement some serious changes. It's an opportunity to create new routines without the usual distractions. I'm super excited to share how I'm planning to use two fantastic resources: Ali Abdaal's 'Feel Good Productivity' and James Clear's 'Atomic Habits'. These aren't just books to me; they're blueprints for how I want to restructure my days and cultivate sustainable habits. For example, with 'Atomic Habits,' I'm focusing on making tiny, incremental changes that are easy to start and hard to ignore. Think about things like setting up my study space the night before, identifying specific times for creative work (like drawing or animating), or simply committing to a 10-minute run each morning. It's about making those good habits obvious, attractive, easy, and satisfying. And 'Feel Good Productivity'? That's all about finding joy in the process, making sure my work feels energizing, not draining. It's about understanding my energy levels and scheduling tasks accordingly, rather than just pushing through burnout. I'm hoping to document the real, messy truth of this journey – the wins, the struggles, and everything in between. My goal is to stay accountable, but also to build a community here. If you're also on a journey to improve your habits, find balance, or simply navigate university life, I'd absolutely love to hear from you! What strategies have worked for you? What challenges are you facing? Let's share our thoughts and grow together. This isn't just my diary; it's an invitation to connect and support each other as we work towards our best selves. So, welcome to my space, I can't wait to see what we achieve!

I love that you are so positive and confident 🥰
