- wedding tips and things I don’t regret doing -

1. I had my couples walk to a song that was meaningful to me. Djs will often call before hand and ask the things you want, what songs to play went etc. make sure to tell them you don’t want any awkward silence. I’ve been to a few weddings where there is no dj for the part of the ceremony and to me I think it just elevates the moment and makes it feel more intimate.

2. Practice your Kiss!! Girl we practiced every kiss! This is a big moment so we literally would video practice kisses. Yes it’s awkward to film a practice kiss but you will not regret it! You gotta know, how long, what the angle, what kind of kiss, is he gonna dip you? What if you’re not ready to be dipped and you fall? Not a worry when you practice and also see what looks best!

3. Pause on your way back! Give people a little extra second to cheer and look and throw flowers or blow bubbles. And take in the chaos I looove the pictures of our kiss on the way back down… I would not skip doing this!

4. Kept the food easy! This might just be one of my favorite things we did. First of all the pizza was incredible. I can’t think of a time I’ve left a wedding thinking “that was incredible food” except for our wedding. I also recommend appointing someone to make sure you’re fed. My photographer and bridesmaids kept bringing pizza to us to make sure we ate. Second of all it was so much cheaper than a catoring company! Our wedding was literally just in a backyard and we had to outsource everything! Choosing a food truck was I think one of the best parts of our wedding.

5. Sparkler exit! We originally were told we weren’t aloud a sparkler exit but at the last min the owner of the house said it was ok! My aunt had some on hand from my cousins wedding and I can’t believe we were able to pull it off. I think it looks amazing! We were just gonna do bubbles but this is so much more fun!

Start with choosing a song that resonates with both you and your partner—this creates an intimate atmosphere right from the aisle. Visualize and practice your first kiss; capturing different angles can enhance the moment during your wedding photos. Don't overlook the significance of the food—opting for a food truck or simple catering can save money while preparing delicious meals that guests will rave about! Consider hosting your wedding in a location that helps evoke family gatherings, like a backyard, which adds warmth and familiarity. For memorable send-offs, instead of bubbles, think about a sparkler exit to add a whimsical touch to the end of your celebrations. However, ensure safety measures are in place for a fun and magical conclusion to your special day. By focusing on these key elements, couples can minimize stress and maximize enjoyment, turning their wedding into a series of beautiful moments they will cherish forever.
