How i got my crusty nails from this 🤢- to this 🥰

4 easy at home ways to grow out your nails and start your natural nail journey! i used to spend 100+ dollars at the nail salon every 2 weeks to get natural looking, plain jane nails. i kept doing that for years until one day i decided to let them grow on their own. it was horrendous, harsh chemicals a lot of nail salons use are SO bad for your nails and no one tells you. but after only a few months my nails are in the best shape. here’s how i did it!

1. stop biting your nails! i know it sounds easier said than done, but distracting yourself by pushing and cutting your cuticles honestly gave me the same satisfaction. if you really can’t help yourself like i couldn’t a few times due to anxiety or boredom i highly recommend putting your fingers in vinegar (any vinegar) it’s natural and won’t hurt your nails but if you try to put it in your mouth you taste vinegar and it will deter you from biting them!

2. pushing & cutting cuticles! a really good way to grow out your nails (from personal experience) is to cut and push back cuticles. it allows more nail to come out faster and easier, and it allows you to have a clean and polished look that will make you want those nails even more.

3. filing your nails! if you even have a little to file, file it to your liking (whatever shape you desire) and it will make you not want to chew them off, and makes sure that the nail won’t break or tear from the sides!

4. lemon juice! lemon juice is PACKED with vitamin C and that produces nail growth and strength. i usually use a little cotton ball or even a q-tip, dab some lemon juice on there and rub it into & around my cuticles. and if you like the way lemon smells it’s also a plus for that!

i hope this helps! it’s a super easy and mostly free way to completely transform your nails! happy nailing!

... Read moreHey everyone! I know the struggle of wanting beautiful, healthy nails but feeling like it's an endless, expensive battle. I used to spend a fortune at nail salons, only to have my nails feel weaker than ever when I took off the polish. But guess what? I found a way to achieve my dream nails, and it was all NATURALLY!!! at home. You can totally do this too! Conquering the Nail-Biting Habit for Real Growth Stopping nail biting isn't just about willpower; it's about understanding your triggers. For me, anxiety and boredom were huge culprits. Beyond the vinegar trick (which seriously works!), I found that having a small stress ball or fidget toy nearby helped redirect that nervous energy. Also, setting tiny, achievable goals, like not biting one specific nail for a day, then two, built up my confidence. Remember, every time you bite, you're not just damaging the tip; you're stressing the nail matrix, which is where new growth begins. Protecting this area is key to seeing those nails grow out strong and healthy. The Secret to Healthy Cuticles (and Faster Nail Growth!) Many people wonder how to keep cuticles from growing or what to do with them. It’s not about stopping their growth entirely; it’s about managing them properly! Your cuticles are the natural protective barrier for your nail matrix. When they're dry, ragged, or overgrown, they can actually hinder healthy growth and make your nails prone to infection. I learned that after a warm shower, when my cuticles were soft, gently pushing them back with an orange wood stick (never metal!) created a clean, polished look. Trimming only the dead, excess skin (hangnails) prevents them from becoming overgrown and unhealthy. Consistent moisturizing with cuticle oil is a game-changer – it keeps them pliable and healthy, which in turn supports faster, stronger nail growth from the base. Unlocking the Power of Lemon Juice for Brighter, Stronger Nails Yes, lemon juice is my secret weapon! When I started using lemon juice on nails, I noticed a huge difference. Not only did it seem to boost my nail growth, making them grow faster, but it also worked wonders as a natural nail whitening remedy. The vitamin C in lemon juice is a powerful antioxidant that helps with collagen production, which is essential for strong nails. I simply dab a cotton ball with fresh lemon juice and rub it into my nails and around my cuticles for a few minutes. I usually do this a couple of times a week. Just a quick tip: lemon juice is acidic, so always follow up with a good moisturizer or cuticle oil to keep your nails and skin hydrated. It’s amazing how something so simple and natural can make such a big impact on getting healthy nail growth. Beyond the Basics: Holistic Habits for Your Best Nails Yet Achieving truly healthy nails goes beyond these four steps. What you put into your body matters! I found that incorporating more biotin-rich foods (like eggs, nuts, and avocados) and ensuring I got enough protein, zinc, and iron made a noticeable difference in how fast and strong my nails grew. Staying hydrated by drinking plenty of water also keeps your nails from becoming brittle. And finally, protecting your nails from harsh chemicals (wear gloves when cleaning!) and being gentle with them (no using them as tools!) will prevent breakage and allow them to grow long and beautiful. Patience is key, but with these habits, you’ll see incredible results!
