i wish i could glow-up already…
it seems almost impossible for me. every time i look in the mirror i can hardly recognize who is staring back at me. between my hair, my body and weight, and who i am as a person—i just don’t know who i am anymore. i hate envying all the girls at my school who have the luxury of being ‘pretty”. i hate feeling insecure about myself and always promising myself that ill look like them ‘someday’. i want to feel beautiful and healthy and have the confidence to talk to people, hell, even maybe get a boyfriend. but the way i am now, none of those things will happen.
it’s my own fault that i’m this way, i know. though now i want to change for the better and start looking and feeling my best. that is…how? i’ve tried portion control and tried going to the gym. over time none of those have worked because i end up spiraling out of control every time with food, and fall out of my gym routine (if i can even call it that tbh.) i live with many siblings so there’s always bad snacks I’m tempted to shove down my face. so what can i do to fix my habits?
looking at myself hurts my mental state. why can’t i look good in clothes without looking like an elephant? how can i fix my jawline, my hair, my fashion choice, and especially body physique?
all i want is to finally glow-up and be the me of my dreams. #Lemon8Diary #glowup #glowuptips #ventpost #weightlosstips
A glow-up isn't just about physical appearance; it involves a holistic approach to self-improvement. Start by setting realistic goals for yourself regarding your diet and fitness. Instead of strict portion control that can lead to frustration, try embracing balanced meals that include a variety of nutrients. Incorporating wholesome snacks, like fruits and nuts, can help curb cravings for junk food while satisfying hunger. When it comes to fitness, finding activities you enjoy is key. This could be dance, cycling, or even walking in nature. Building a routine that feels less like a chore and more like a fun activity will encourage you to stick with it long-term. Additionally, don't underestimate the power of mental self-care. Activities such as journaling, meditation, or seeking support from friends can significantly impact your self-esteem and mindset. Practicing self-love is essential when striving for a glow-up. Fashion is a powerful tool for self-expression. Experiment with clothing that makes you feel good, regardless of trends. It's about finding your unique style, which can enhance your confidence. Online resources and communities are available that offer inspiration for various body types. Embrace the journey—your glow-up is more than just an external change; it's about nurturing your overall well-being.
