🗓Starting a new language: 7-Day Plan✏️

Today, I’m sharing a usefel pre-study plan to kickstart your journey with a brand new language. It’s not about setting daily goals or strict schedules. The main idea is to get a quick taste of the language and spark your interest! We’ll use a 7-day pre-plan to evaluate how it feels and then create a long-term plan that works best for you. Hope you find this useful!🌟🥳

Day 1📚Get Familiar with the Basics

Start with the basics like greetings, numbers, and simple phrases. You don’t need to know everything right away, just focus on getting comfortable with the sounds and rhythm of the language. Spend about 20-30 minutes on this today, and you’ll already feel like you’re making progress.

Day 2🎧Listen, Listen, Listen

Today is all about tuning your ears. Find a podcast, a YouTube video, or even a simple song in your target language. The goal isn’t to understand everything (or anything, really) but to get used to hearing the language in its natural flow. Pop those headphones in while you’re commuting, cooking, or chilling—just let it wash over you.

Day 3🗣️Speak Up!

Time to start talking! Pick a few phrases learned on Day 1 and start saying them out loud. Also I’ve got a secret weapon! I’m using Hibay for immersive spoken English practice. Its 100+ real-life scenarios make me feel like I’m actually there, wiping away that awkward new-language feeling.

Don’t worry about being perfect—just get those words out! With AI-guided conversations, my pronunciation and grammar get spot-on, and my expressions sound so much more natural. Just a few minutes of practice each day, and the progress is honestly unbelievable!

Day 4🛒Everyday Words & Phrases

Let’s focus on words and phrases you’ll actually use in real life. Think about what you might need for your first conversation—ordering food, asking for directions, or shopping. Make a list of 10-15 phrases and practice them throughout the day. If you can, try to use them in your daily life. Even if it’s just practicing with your pets or plants, every bit helps!

Day 5🌟Immerse Yourself in Culture

Today, dive into something cultural from your target language. Watch a movie, cook a traditional dish, or read a short story. Not only is this super fun, but it also gives you context for the words and phrases you’re learning. Plus, who doesn’t love an excuse to binge-watch foreign films?

Day 6✍️Write Daily Journals

Today try to start a daily journal in your target language. It doesn’t have to be lengthy—just a few sentences about your day, thoughts, or feelings. This practice helps reinforce vocabulary and grammar while making you more comfortable with written expression. Plus, it's a great way to track your progress over time.

Day 7 🎉Reflect & Celebrate

You made it through a week—congrats! Take some time to reflect on what you’ve learned. What did you enjoy the most? What was challenging? And most importantly, how do you feel about continuing? Celebrate your progress, no matter how small it may seem. Language learning is a journey, and you’re off to an amazing start. Treat yourself to something nice—you’ve earned it!
