why is everyone so sensitive... stop 🛑😭

Am I the only one who noticed how people take offense to everything!? I was scrolling reading comments extra when I saw a comment asking a question about how this specific person with disability does something because of the lack of ability this creator has. I noticed throughout the comments everyone "had to" make it known their comment wasn't hateful just a question. like uhm when did everything become hateful can we not ask questions anymore and people not take offense to it. I promise asking a question isn't rude it's "ruder" to ask a disabled person a question then back it up with (I'm not hating tho 😚🙈) ngl that sounds like ur looking down at that person saying I have to say I'm not hating because ur disabled and take everything out of context. but idk lmk your opinion

For instance, discussions around disability can evoke strong reactions, with individuals often feeling the need to preface their inquiries with disclaimers to avoid coming across as insensitive. This phenomenon indicates a deeper issue regarding communication and understanding. The growth of social media has amplified this sensitivity, as comments and questions can easily be misinterpreted or taken out of context. It's essential to recognize that while it's important to maintain respect and empathy, the fear of unintentionally offending someone can stifle open conversations. People may hesitate to voice their thoughts or ask questions, leading to misunderstandings and a lack of knowledge on complex topics. To foster a healthier discourse, we need to create spaces where questions are welcome and discussions are based on mutual respect. This involves not only asking questions mindfully but also encouraging a culture that values curiosity and dialogue rather than defensiveness. Balancing sensitivity with openness is crucial for societal growth and understanding.
