i dont even know where to begin with this book. it does romanticize sexual abuse, but then again the author does privide trigger warnings unlike some authors *colleen hoover*. this book was a guilty pleasure but at some point i had to stop and think, "wth am i reading?" i give this book a good 3.8 stars in my opinion, there isnt much to say but wow.
The dark romance genre has gained popularity among readers who enjoy complex characters and morally ambiguous situations. In 'Haunting Adeline', author Zade Meadows explores themes of obsession and the impact of past traumas on relationships. While some readers might find the romanticization of sensitive issues troubling, the inclusion of trigger warnings is commendable. This transparency allows readers to make informed decisions before diving into the narrative. It's important to note that not all romance novels handle such topics with care. Comparatively, some well-known authors might overlook this, creating a divide between reader expectations and the content delivered. 'Haunting Adeline' certainly stands out with its dual points of view, providing depth and allowing readers to empathize with both characters’ dilemmas. If you are drawn to intense love stories with twisted plots, this book might just be your next guilty pleasure. Be sure to consider the content warnings and keep an open mind as you navigate through this gripping tale.
