Soft Glam Makeup Tutorial 🍋🫶
Hey beauties! I'm so excited to dive deeper into creating that effortlessly gorgeous soft glam makeup look. It's truly one of my go-to styles because it enhances your natural features without feeling heavy, making it perfect for everyday elegance or a special occasion. And believe me, whether you have a radiant warm skin tone, beautiful brown skin, or stunning dark skin, this tutorial is designed to help you achieve that flawless finish. I've learned a few tricks over time that make all the difference, especially for us with diverse complexions! First things first, skin prep is non-negotiable for any soft glam look. Before you even think about makeup, remember to MOISTURIZE YOUR FACE thoroughly. This creates a smooth canvas, allowing your foundation and concealer to blend seamlessly. For my sisters with dry patches, a hydrating primer can be a game-changer. Now, let's talk foundation. Achieving a natural soft glam makeup look starts with a base that matches perfectly. When applying, use your FOUNDATION BRUSH to really BLEND IT OUT. Don't just swipe; press and buff the product into your skin. For warm and dark skin tones, finding the right undertone is key – look for shades with golden or red nuances to avoid an ashy appearance. My secret? I often mix two shades if I'm in between. Keep blending until everything is well BLENDED, even around your jawline and hairline, to avoid any harsh lines. Next up, concealer – your magic wand for brightening! I like to APPLY CONCEALER TO UNDEREYE, CHIN, FOREHEAD, AND BRIDGE OF NOSE. For under eyes, especially on dark skin, choose a color corrector first if you have significant discoloration, then go in with your concealer. Using a dedicated CONCEALER BRUSH, gently BLEND OUT THE CONCEALER by tapping, not dragging. This prevents creasing. For that extra pop, I then like to GO IN WITH ANOTHER CONCEALER THAT IS A SHADE LIGHTER than my skin tone, focusing on the very center of my face – this really helps to highlight and bring light to those areas, giving a lifted effect without being too stark. Contour is where we add dimension back to our faces. FOR CONTOUR, APPLY TO CHEEK BONES, JAWLINE, AND FOREHEAD. For black women and those with deeper skin tones, choosing a cream contour that is about two to three shades darker than your foundation, with a warm undertone, works wonderfully. Avoid anything too cool-toned unless you're aiming for a very chiseled look, which can sometimes look muddy on warmer complexions. Blend upwards on your cheekbones, down your jawline, and along your temples. The key is to blend until it's a soft shadow, not a stripe! To lock everything in and ensure your soft glam makeup look lasts all day, a light dusting of setting powder is essential. For warm and dark skin, translucent powders can sometimes leave a white cast, so I recommend a finely milled, tinted setting powder, or a banana powder, to brighten and set without dulling your complexion. If you're a beginner, starting with a good Beginner Brush Bundle will make all these steps so much easier and more enjoyable. These simple steps ensure your natural soft glam makeup look will be polished and picture-perfect. I can't wait to hear how your soft glam journey goes!
