Folding Cloth Diapers Tutorial
I LOVE Cloth diapering my babies!
Toddlers….. yeah no
But
For babies it’s AMAZING!
I got all of mine second hand! 38 different diapers for 250$ on Facebook marketplace.
I’ve saved SO much money.
I went from spending 30-50$ a week on diapers and wipes.
Breastfed babies are the easiest because if they are only drinking the boob you can just throw them straight in the wash. Breast milk poops are water soluble! After they start eating normal foods you have to start spraying them off, but for a while there it is real easy!
My wash routine is every other day.
1. Rinse cycle to get the pee out.
2. Take diapers apart and add my detergent, and run it on a normal cycle with cold water.
3. Another rinse cycle to wash out the extra soap
4. Dry in sun to bleach them or throw them in the dryer.
About two to three times a month I strip wash with bleach and hot water.
Let me know if you have any more questions!

Cloth diapering is an eco-friendly, budget-friendly choice for parents. Not only do cloth diapers save money in the long run, but they significantly reduce waste compared to disposable diapers. When starting your cloth diapering journey, it's crucial to choose the right type of diaper, such as pocket, all-in-one, or prefold diapers. Each type has its pros and cons, so consider what works best for your lifestyle. For effective washing, separate the dirty diapers promptly, and opt for an efficient wash routine like the one mentioned in this tutorial. Remember that regular stripping with bleach and hot water can help maintain the diapers’ absorbency. Additionally, utilizing a diaper sprayer can make the cleaning process easier once your baby starts eating solid foods. Finally, don’t hesitate to connect with other cloth diapering parents on forums and social media groups for support, tips, and tricks. Sharing experiences can help you navigate this rewarding journey with more ease and enjoyment.
