with having a healthy relationship with my mom,, now that i’m older
i’ve realized that part of it was my fault
for assuming how she’d react
to my feelings
because i assumed her response
i mostly lied or just didn’t tell

evennow i tend to hold back
out of habits made
but i always start with
“i understand where you’re
coming from..” and
always let her know that that’s how
i feel so there isn’t a
right or wrong (more respectfully )
