... Read moreHiking to Everest Base Camp is a journey that requires preparation and knowledge. It typically takes around 12 days of hiking, where trekkers can expect to hike between 6-9 hours each day. As you ascend to high altitudes, especially the staggering height of 5,364 meters (17,598 feet), it's vital to allow your body to acclimatize; your oxygen levels can drop below 70%, making it crucial to pace yourself. The views can be breathtaking but be prepared for the physical challenges along the way. One of the best ways to ensure comfort after long days of trekking is to stay in tea houses, which offer a blend of rustic charm and a place to recharge. Make sure to book your accommodations in advance to ensure availability, especially during peak trekking seasons. For those seeking both adventure and stunning scenery, a trek to Everest Base Camp is a perfect choice, combining the thrill of hiking with the beauty of the Himalayas.
