Anyone   else out there like me?

Growing up, my parents and relatives always said I was a quiet, introverted kid. That's definitely true. I'm not one to chat a whole lot with family gatherings, and I've always had a smaller circle of close friends. Maybe not the life of the party, you know? For a while, when folks would ask why I was so "lonely" or "quiet," I kinda felt that way too. Like, maybe something was wrong. But then I realized something important: I'm not lonely, I'm just alone. And you know what? I actually enjoy my own company!Just like that author, Renuka Gavrani, says: "Loneliness was my cage, Solitude is my home."

... Read moreIn today's fast-paced world, many people grapple with the concepts of loneliness and solitude. It's vital to understand that being alone doesn't equate to being lonely. As portrayed by Renuka Gavrani in her bestseller 'The Art of Being Alone', solitude can be a sanctuary rather than a prison. This realization paves the way for personal growth and self-discovery. Exploring solitude allows individuals to connect with themselves on a deeper level, fostering creativity and self-awareness. Engaging in activities like journaling, meditation, or simply enjoying nature can enhance this experience, helping individuals cultivate a sense of peace and fulfillment. Approaching solitude with a positive mindset can transform it into a liberating experience, empowering one to appreciate their own company. Instead of fearing solitude, embracing it may lead to newfound interests and passions. Moreover, finding a balance between social interactions and personal time can lead to healthier relationships and a more profound understanding of oneself. Thus, solitude isn't merely something to endure; it's an opportunity to thrive and grow.

I enjoy being alone today…I haven’t dated anyone in 5 years and I don’t want to…I always chose toxic men or bad female friends who used me and took my kindness for weakness…
