Favorite books to read to my students 👩🏻‍🏫

I work at two schools and have two classrooms 📚

These are some of the books I love to read to my students!

My first classroom is a farm theme 🐷

📖 We Don’t Eat Our Classmates - such a cute and silly book! That teaches important lessons about empathy, getting along, and following the rules.

📖 The Color Monster - this book addresses common emotions as happiness, sadness, anger, fear, and calm, this sensitive book gently encourages children to open up with their emotions.

📖 What If Everybody Did That? - The story offers the opportunity for children to discuss the actions of others and their impact on society at large.

📖 Buffalo Fluffalo - This humorous and adorable book encourages self-acceptance with a lighthearted touch.

📖 Mercy Watson Series- is a funny story about a family and their piggy. We follow their adventures and the trouble they get into.

My second classroom is Space theme. 🪐

📖 The Food Group Series- these are the best! Each has an important message and addresses them in a fun way.

📖 My Mouth is a Volcano - This book is about a young boy named Louis, who has a problem with interrupting others when they are talking. He compares his mouth to a volcano, as it is always erupting.

📖 Each Kindness- addresses friendship, reaching out, rejection, dignified determination, class, growing up, teachers' wisdom, missed opportunities, and possibilities. This book has such an important message and really makes my students reflect on it.

📖 Taylor Swift - my Swifty students love this book! It’s so cute and a fun read.

📖 Thelma the Unicorn - promotes the themes of being true to yourself and being proud of who you are.

📖 The Color Monster- same book, but this one has pop ups!

If you’re a teacher, parent or care giver I recommend reading some of these books to your children/students!
