NO MORE DAUNTING TASKS : CLEAN WITH ME 🧽🫧

I find it extremely helpful to add deep cleaning to my daily life! Not only does my home feel more comfortable and clean, I don’t have stressful “spring cleaning” hanging over my shoulders. This weekly/ monthly routine is tailored to my needs and you should take this concept and duplicate it or alter it to fit your needs in your home.

Yes, I clean everyday (except Fridays ✨) but it’s such a small amount that it doesn’t feel overwhelming. Try it out and by the end of the month you’ll see how peaceful your life feels when this routine becomes a habit and all the nooks and crannies of your home are sparkling.

How I keep up with my routine/schedule:

1. Add your daily task to your apple or google calendar (adjust the setting to repeat weekly)

2. Add alerts and times that are realistic for your schedule

3. In the notes, add your monthly breakdown and additional tasks!

It’s really that simple! As I always say, give yourself grace should you get off the schedule for any particular reason. The good thing about this routine is that everything is chunked into small tasks so one added small task or missed task should be fine here and there!

Disclaimer: I use raking and scraping the couch interchangeably, this is done to remove pet fur and lift any dander.

... Read moreMaintaining a clean and organized home can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially if you think about deep cleaning tasks piling up. However, integrating a manageable cleaning schedule into your daily routine can help you avoid the stress often associated with big cleaning days, like spring cleaning. Here are some practical suggestions to simplify your deep cleaning tasks: 1. **Weekly Cleaning Tasks**: Allocate specific cleaning tasks to each day of the week. For example, designate Mondays for cleaning and disinfecting trash cans, while focusing on your living areas on Tuesdays. This approach breaks down the work into smaller, more achievable chunks. 2. **Daily Routine Adjustments**: If you're prone to forgetting these tasks, utilize digital tools like Google Calendar or Apple Calendar. Set reminders for each task so you can dedicate 20-30 minutes daily to your cleaning routine, making it feel less daunting. 3. **Monthly Goals**: Introduce additional deep cleaning tasks each week, like vacuuming furniture, washing linens, and sanitizing bathrooms. Recognizing and achieving these goals will boost your motivation to maintain cleanliness throughout the month. 4. **Grace and Flexibility**: Life can be unpredictable; hence, allow yourself grace when things don’t go according to plan. Small adjustments to your schedule won’t throw you off course. The routine is designed to be flexible, allowing you to catch up without stress. By adopting this structured approach, you can create a peaceful environment while avoiding the overwhelming nature of extensive cleaning sessions. This routine encourages not only cleanliness but also a sense of accomplishment as you see your home transform over time.
