RELEASE TRAUMA + EMOTIONS: hip opening exercise🤍❤️🩹
Did you know that we tend to store a lot of our trauma and emotions in our hips?
Think of everything that you’ve been through in your life, all of that energy that’s weighed you down that you’ve wanted to release but didn’t know how.
You might’ve tried everything - therapy, running, stretching, taking up meditation, ANYTHING to make your mind feel and body feel good again.
THIS is the exercise.
This hip opening exercise is going to allow you to release trauma and emotions from your body.
I will say that it’s very effective and MAY BRING OUT EMOTIONS.
It’s normal to have your knees and legs become very shakey during the exercise and it’s normal to feel these very intense feelings as you’re doing this release.
I recommend doing this in a quiet space. A space where you feel comfortable and relaxed. I prefer to listen to calming music (LoFi specifically) with my headphones to really help me shut my brain off and relax during this release.
This exercise has helped me SO much in releasing these emotions and feelings from my body.
If you try it out - let me know how it goes. I’d love to hear your experience too 🤍

Did you know our hips can hold onto deep-seated emotions? This tension can manifest as discomfort or restrict our movement, making it vital to engage in specific hip opening exercises. These movements not only promote physical flexibility but also provide a safe space for emotional expression. To start, find a quiet area where you can connect with your body without distractions. Listening to soothing LoFi music can enhance the experience, allowing you to immerse yourself fully in the release process. The fundamental movements include lying on your back, allowing the knees to open, and connecting the soles of your feet. These gentle stretches can induce feelings of shaking or unease, which is a normal response as your body unravels built-up tension. Remember, it's essential not to force any movement; let your body guide you. As you repeat these exercises, you may find different emotions surfacing. This is a natural part of healing; acknowledging these feelings can lead to profound personal insight and a sense of freedom. Join this journey of self-exploration by incorporating hip opening exercises into your regular routine, and share your experiences to encourage others on their healing paths.
