Can I change my earrings 11 days after piercing?

Hey everyone! So, I recently got my ear bone pierced, and it's been an interesting journey so far. However, now that I'm nearing the eleventh day, I've been thinking about replacing the piercing stud. But I'm a bit confused about how long it typically takes for the ear to heal well enough for a earingd change, and also, what kind of earings are best for this stage of healing?

Can anyone share their experiences or knowledge on this? I want to make sure I'm doing everything right to avoid any complications. Thanks in advance for your help! 🙏 #earpiercing #healingprocess #AskLemon8

Typically, it's advisable to wait at least 6-8 weeks before switching to different earrings, as your earlobes need adequate time to heal. During the first few weeks, your body is forming new tissue around the piercing. Changing earrings too soon may lead to complications such as infections or irritation. For those who have recently pierced their ears, it's crucial to choose the right type of earrings when the time comes to change them. Opting for hypoallergenic materials like titanium, surgical steel, or 14k gold can minimize the risk of allergic reactions. Avoid heavy earrings and those made from non-certified materials, as they might cause discomfort during the healing process. Listening to your body is key; if you experience any pain, redness, or discharge, it might be wise to delay changing your earrings further. Always consult with a professional piercer if in doubt, as they can provide tailored advice based on your specific situation. Finally, engaging with community forums or personal experiences can also offer valuable insights for your earring change journey.

my piercer told me do not change it until at least 6 months, if you take it out too early(especially that early) it may close on you and you won’t be able to get it back in. plus it would be super painful!!!

girl. whatever you do, dont take that thing out. i can speak from personal experience, when i got my helix peirced i only wanted to replace it. but i would wait at least a month and even then i’d be careful. you wanna wait till that area is not at all tender and feels like nothing happened. but it looks so cute on you!
