✨ My summer glow up routine ✨
The past summers I have wasted it and went back to school looking the worst I ever have. I want to become healthy physically & mentally this summer so here are my routines & goals!
🤍 Sleep •
Sleep is SOOO important and more important than I knew. This summer so far I’ve been going to sleep at 3-6am and waking up at 12pm everyday. I could tell a major difference mentally & physically. My skin was horrible I had bumps, breakouts, and redness everywhere. My eye bags were so bad and I look colorless my face almost gray. I’ve been sleeping earlier and waking up earlier and the first day i immediately saw a change.
🤍 getting outside •
I know when people use the term “touch grass” is mostly satire but I really DO need to touch grass in summer. The past 3 years every summer I’ve spent days inside not going outside at all. I went to doctor a couple months after summer with headaches, body pain, and fatigue. They told me I had a Vitamin D deficiency. I’ve been trying my hardest to get out every single day which may seem easy to some but for me it was difficult.
🤍 reading •
This one isn’t as necessary as others but I genuinely enjoy reading & being away from school my brain just kind of pauses. Reading is a nice way to keep my brain being used daily.
🤍 eating healthy •
This is a big one for me. Since being away from school I get to chose the food I eat. Most the time the easiest ( since I’m home alone ) is fast food or microwave bio engineered high fat foods. I gain a lot of weight in summer and this is a MAJOR factor so I’m trying to eat lots of fruit, eggs, smoothies, etc. I’m cutting meat out of my diet for personally reasons.
🤍 daily walks •
Walking an hour a day can help you lose weight and I find walks relaxing and they just make me feel genuinely happier!
🤍 doing what I love •
I tend to lay around on my phone all summer and don’t get out and do things. I don’t enjoy hanging out with people but I enjoy spending time alone so I’m planning on filling my days doing productive stuff I enjoy such as painting, music, sports, etc.
🤍 yoga & working out •
I recently started getting into yoga and I can tell it already makes me relaxed & helps my body with pain! I set a workout routine to help me tone my body & lose weight. It also helps me boost my metabolism & just makes me happy!
🤍 skincare •
This is very important since my skin starts to look quite bad in summer because I’m never consistent with skincare. I get busy ( & lazy ) and mainly forget. I try to wash my face 2x a day and a daily pore scrub at least 1x a day.

Summer is the perfect time to rejuvenate your mind and body. Begin by establishing a consistent sleep schedule to enhance your skin's health; aim for at least 7 hours of restorative sleep each night. Incorporate outdoor activities into your routine to boost Vitamin D levels, as spending time in nature can alleviate fatigue and headaches. Consider dedicating time to reading, which not only engages your mind but also provides a lovely escape from daily pressures. A healthy diet is crucial during summer, so focus on fresh fruits, smoothies, and whole foods while reducing processed and fast food. Walking and regular exercise, such as yoga, contribute significantly to maintaining a healthy weight and elevating your mood. Lastly, create a tailored skincare routine to keep your skin fresh and glowing, addressing any summer-specific concerns. With these practical strategies, you can achieve a holistic glow-up this summer, benefiting both your mental and physical well-being.
