how I make my sketchbook feel fuller

watercolors are my best friends 🥰 I have been doing this with every mixed media sketchbook I've ever owned! adding watercolor to empty spaces makes my sketches stand out more, and it makes my sketchbook feel so much fuller 🤭 I also love when my pages are a little warped, which may be weird lol but I always know where I left off!

By incorporating watercolors into your sketchbook, you not only elevate the visual appeal of your art but also create a unique narrative on each page. Many artists find that filling empty spaces with color adds depth and personality to their work. Experimentation is key; try mixing other mediums alongside watercolors to see what resonates with your style. Alcohol markers can provide sharp contrasts and vibrant details, but mastering their application can be a challenge. Don’t be afraid to embrace imperfections like warped pages, as they often tell a story of your artistic journey. Consider creating thematic pages, where each section of your sketchbook focuses on a particular subject or color palette. This cohesive approach can make your sketchbook feel more complete. Sharing your techniques and results with others in the art community can also inspire collaboration and new ideas. Whatever your technique, remember that every artist’s journey is unique.
