Baking has become a form of self care

As someone that struggles with overthinking and anxiety, I knew I had to find someway to relax myself and be creative. Creativity has always been a gift of mine. If I was interested in something I would learn it and execute it. That is why no one was surprised when I decided to take up baking.

When I am baking everything around me becomes quiet and it is just me and my baling equipment. There is just something about the process of it all that brings me joy, peace and sometimes stress that is rewarding at the end. Have to take out all my ingredients, measure and bake bring me so much happiness. The final steps of decorating and seeing the final product is even better.

This was just for fun in the beginning but has turned into a side hobby and

most importantly, a form of self care. I advise everyone to just find something you are interested in and that brings you joy and just do it when you are feeling stressed. It helps!
