When I recently decided to refresh my straight hair look, I asked my hairdresser specifically for a medium length cut to remove some weight but still keep versatility. Removing a few inches really made my hair feel lighter and easier to style daily. I also requested face-framing angles that lightly grazed my chin, which beautifully highlighted my facial features and added a subtle softness to my overall appearance. Something I learned that made a big difference was asking for long layers especially at the back. This layering technique created movement and added volume, which is incredible for those who, like me, prefer to air dry their hair rather than using heat styling tools. The layers prevented my hair from looking flat and gave me a natural, effortless style. If you're straight-haired and looking for a change, don't hesitate to bring up these styles with your hairdresser.
