✨A clean home = Happy home
I learned that rushing to move in to your new home
Is not good… this time around, we took our time to fully inspect the apartment. Even though the landlord emphasized that the apartment was “professionally cleaned” we still went in & did our own deep cleaning. And let me tell you… some of the things we found did NOT give “professionally cleaned” i’m a bit embarrassed to even share it…
BUT yeah… take your time, & make your home YOURS, before you just rush all of your valuables in. #cleanapartment
Moving into a new apartment is always exciting, but from my experience, it’s crucial not to rush the process. Despite landlords often promising a professionally cleaned space, my own move revealed the importance of doing a thorough deep cleaning yourself. I remember uncovering dust, grime, and even some forgotten spots that were overlooked by the previous cleaners. This hands-on approach not only ensures a healthier living environment but also saves you countless cleaning hours down the road. By deep cleaning before moving in, you make the space truly yours from day one and prevent lingering odors or stains from affecting your comfort. One helpful tip I found is to break down the cleaning into manageable tasks: start with the floors and walls, then move onto kitchen appliances, bathroom fixtures, and finally windows and vents. Use eco-friendly cleaning products when possible to avoid harsh chemicals indoors. Taking photos of the space before and after cleaning can also be beneficial for documenting the apartment’s condition. Overall, embracing a slow and meticulous move-in process transforms the experience. Instead of feeling overwhelmed or embarrassed by overlooked messes, you gain peace of mind knowing your home is fresh and welcoming. This way, you can focus on arranging your belongings and truly making your space a happy home.
