Healthy Era pt1??

The past few months have marked the start of my attempt of getting my life back together!!

A few of the things I’m doing…

1. I dropped out of college!

This was a tough call, but luckily I have supportive people in my life who helped me realize that college was taking a heavy toll on my health, and that college is not for everyone.

2. Cutting out fast food.

Cleaning my diet was way easier than i expected once leaving the college scene, and now that I’m home again I’ve been enjoying cooking my own meals and saving money. I’ve been losing weight without even trying too!

3. Exercising every day

I started a gym membership, and something that was once so scary and daunting, became a part of my day that I look forward to! It’s an hour out of my day that I can think, move, and just have all to myself. It’s a small freedom that has so many benefits.

4. Less social media, more books!

Without really even trying, I’ve spent less time on social media. I didn’t realize how much noise that spending time on social media created, and since moving home I haven’t really been active on Instagram like I used to. I’m surprised with how peaceful it’s been. And I’ve rediscovered my love for reading too! Maybe I’ll make a post of all the books I’ve read this summer…

5. Stopped comparing my life to everyone else’s.

Honestly, it took me a while to accept, but everyone is on their own path, and has their own timelines. Dropping out and moving home was a tough decision, but it was the right one for me. Now, I’m navigating what my purpose is, but this doesn’t mean I’m a failure or “behind” in life… I am simply at a different pace than most people my age, and that is ok!
