Vorosmarty utca metro station, Budapest.

Vörösmarty utca Metro Station, also known as the Yellow Line (M1), was opened in 1896. It is part of the first metro line in continental Europe and has a nostalgic, old-European charm.

Located along Andrássy Avenue in District VI, this classic and historic underground station features decorative tiled walls and sits just a few meters below street level. It has the shallowest underground depth I've encountered and boasts the shortest train platform I've ever been on, making it one of my favourite metro stations.

Nearby attractions include Andrássy Avenue (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the Hungarian State Opera House.
