How I survived my first year of dental school
Grad school is hard, but going to school for something in the healthcare field can be even more rigorous. For dental school I have to juggle studying the bookwork but also make time for clinical practice of my hand skills and interacting with patients. I could not have gotten through this first year without the help of my friends. We study together but also find time away from the flash cards for some fun.
Surviving dental school requires strategic planning and effective time management skills. One key aspect is forming study groups with peers; collaborating not only enhances understanding of complex topics but also makes learning more enjoyable. Utilizing life hacks is a game changer. Tools like online flashcards and educational apps can supplement traditional studying and keep you engaged. Furthermore, don’t underestimate the power of mentorship and networking within the dental community – connecting with upperclassmen or professionals can provide guidance and resources that are crucial for success. Additionally, taking care of your mental health is essential. Finding time to unwind away from academics, such as engaging in hobbies or social activities, can help mitigate the stress that comes with rigorous study schedules. Remember that dental school, while challenging, is also an opportunity for personal and professional growth.

That’s awesome congrats!! I can’t wait to start grad school soon!
