Yesterday, I visited a live house called "Ongaku-shitsu DX" in Takadanobaba.
The live house had a slightly dark image, but this place is bright and clean! It was a space that even beginners can enjoy with confidence.
The highlight this time is the unit "Nankai Battle."
Chisato Kawaguchi (Ds), Masatoshi Mizuno (B), Jiro Okada (B), Makoto Aoyagi (Kb), is a "twin base" organization by a great team of members.

The origin of the name is "Nankai," but the exchange of sounds that unfolds is just like a "esoteric" martial art! However, while I was overwhelmed by its power, the second set was over in no time.

音楽室DXの魅力は何と言ってもその立地と環境の良さです。高田馬場駅から徒歩圏内というアクセスの良さに加え、店内は明るく清潔に保たれていて、ライブハウスの暗くて入りにくいというイメージを覆します。私も初めて訪れた際、居心地の良さに驚きました。 このライブは特に川口千里さんのドラムスに集中して楽しみました。彼女のドラムは力強さと繊細さが共存していて、リズムの複雑さの中に「ハイハット君」ことハイハットの繊細な刻みがしっかりと地味ながらリズムの要となっているのが感動的でした。ハイハットの細かいアクセントが演奏全体のグルーヴを作り出していることを間近で感じられるのは貴重な体験です。 またバンドの名前「Nankai Battle」からイメージされる「南海」ではなく「難解」なサウンドバトルという表現がぴったりで、ツインベースの重厚な音と川口千里さんの超絶技巧ドラムが織りなす音の応酬はまさにライヴならではの刺激。セカンドセットがあっという間に終わったのも時間を忘れるほど没入していたからでしょう。 ライブ観戦のポイントとしては、早めに到着して店内の空気に慣れ、ワンドリンクを楽しみながらじっくり演奏に集中すると良いと思います。音楽室DXは初心者にも優しい空間作りがされているので、ジャズフュージョンやツインベース、川口千里さんファンはもちろん、刺激的な夜を過ごしたい大人の休日にも最適な場所です。 このライブ体験を通じて、ライブハウスの魅力やツインベースバンドの奥深さを改めて感じました。今後もここで新たな音楽の発見を楽しみにしています。
