大宮駅から徒歩わずか5分の場所にある「手揉み中華そば 中村」は、埼玉の人気つけ麺店「狼煙」が手掛けるセカンドブランドとして注目を集めています。街の賑わいを抜けた路地裏に佇むこのお店は、おしゃれなカフェのような外観とブルーの壁にナチュラルウッドのカウンターが印象的で、女性一人でも気軽に入りやすい雰囲気が魅力です。 筆者もランチタイムに訪問しましたが、店内は落ち着いた空間でゆっくりと食事を楽しめました。注文したのは特製中華そば。澄んだスープは鶏油のコクを感じつつ、魚介の風味がふんわり香り、バランスの良い味わいです。麺は中太の手揉みちぢれ麺で、しっかりとした歯ごたえがありスープとよく絡みます。 さらに驚いたのは、三種のチャーシューの豪華な味わいと、存在感たっぷりの大ぶりワンタン。肉厚でジューシーなワンタンは、中華そばの満足度を大きく引き上げてくれました。これはまさに「狼煙」のイメージを踏襲しつつも、より丁寧で特別な一杯と言えます。 また、店の営業時間は平日と土曜が11:00〜15:00、18:00〜20:30、日曜は11:00〜16:00で、定休日は月曜日です。カウンター7席とこじんまりしているため、ピーク時は待ち時間が発生することも。訪れる際は時間に余裕を持つのがおすすめです。 大宮周辺で一人ラーメンやデートランチにぴったりの、落ち着いた空間と味わい深い中華そばを探している人にぜひ足を運んでほしい一店です。店内の雰囲気や美しいオレンジ色の煮卵も目を楽しませてくれ、食べる喜びを何倍にもしてくれました。今後もリピートしたいお気に入りのラーメン店です。
