First Iditarod qualifier down, and first race finish for Proper and Asgard! Spartan, 9 years young led my entire race along with La Niña and Hannah. We were on the trail for a little over 9 hours both days, including rest time for snacks, water, pets, and changing/replacing booties. It was hot the first day, and the out-and-back loop was tore up pretty good on the second. It really tested my ability to pace a team for long runs and try to figure out exactly what each dog wanted in order to thrive. #musher #dogsport #alaskanhusky #workingdog
