Fall is here! Finishing up the end of tour season, and the dogs know it. We’re all so ready to start race training in a few weeks! #sleddogs #alaskanhusky #dogsport #workingdog #mushing

Why not just compete with purebreds? TLDR, adaptability and continued development in an ever-changing competitive scene. #sleddogs #purebred #dogsport #workingdog #ethicalbreeding

To be completely clear - I have a lot of respect for those who work to preserve more than just a phenotype standard in their historically working purebred dogs. I hope to always see Siberians and Malamutes on the trail. I’ve noticed another uptick in no-nuance “purebreds are always better” comments

You’ll notice they will travel very conservatively, with lots of rest. The goal of running a “puppy team” in the Iditarod is just to show them the trail and prove to the

Jody was raised in the basket of a dogsled, according to her bio. In a community where every family tended a dog team, these ceremonial coats were used when families mushed to holiday gatherings or special events - and everyone would dress their very best, including the dogs. The Iditarod not only

I’m so grateful to have been part of this team, and I know they’re going to do amazing. We have one more night to rest before the teams take off on their official restart tomorrow. #mushing #dogsledding #dogsport #husky
