how i edit harsh lines & shadows // before & after

I shot this late in the morning, so the sun peeked over the buildings surrounding the alley in a really cool way that illuminated the little blue door, but not much else. Because of this, the shadows were incredibly dark, and I decided to edit this photo more artistically than true-to-life. Hopeful
