maybe you’re the problem…

Sometimes you are the villain. And THAT’S OKAY. Being able to accept when you’re wrong is important for personal growth & development. Get comfortable with the fact that you aren’t gonna do everything right.

This is something I’m still working on to this day. I HATE being wrong. It makes me feel ignorant. But I’m learning to accept where I fall short. After all, nobody’s perfect 🤷🏽‍♀️ I use it to my advantage to blossom into a more beautiful woman internally.

These moments are great to learn more about yourself. Being wrong gives you the opportunity to sharpen your character, adjusting what doesn’t work and trying new ways of approaching situations.

Maybe you’re the problem…but don’t beat yourself up about it. Be honest with yourself and make a conscious effort to do better 🩷🩷

... Read moreNavigating life, it's easy to point fingers, but what happens when you realize the mirror is reflecting the problem back at you? I've been there, and honestly, it's a tough pill to swallow. Like the original post says, that feeling of 'maybe I'm the problem' can be really confronting. It makes you feel ignorant, vulnerable even. But what I've learned, and what I want to share with you, is that embracing this realization is actually where your superpower for personal growth lies. It’s not about beating yourself up; it’s about honest self-assessment. I used to brush off criticism, always finding an excuse. But then I started to genuinely ask myself, "Is there truth to this?" and "What can I learn here?" It reminds me of a powerful thought I came across: 'Start checking yourself. Start correcting yourself when you're being unnecessarily negative.' This isn't just about big, dramatic mistakes. It's about the daily habits, the subtle reactions, the internal dialogue. Are you constantly complaining? Are you quick to judge? Are you dragging your feet on goals you've set for yourself? Holding ourselves accountable for these smaller moments builds the muscle for bigger challenges. Another perspective that really resonates with me is, 'Start minding your business when you realize you're policing someone's choices that don't have anything to do with you.' This one hit home. Sometimes, our perception of 'the problem' in a situation isn't about us, but about our need to control or judge others. Stepping back and focusing on my own lane has been incredibly freeing. It shifts the energy back to self-improvement rather than external frustration. So, how do we move from 'maybe I'm the problem' to 'I'm actively growing'? For me, it starts with journaling. Writing down moments where I felt I could have reacted differently or acted better helps me process without judgment. It’s a safe space to acknowledge my shortcomings. Then, I try to identify triggers. What situations or feelings tend to bring out the less-than-ideal 'me'? Once you know your triggers, you can start to proactively manage them. And let's talk about procrastination – a classic 'I'm the problem' scenario. We all have goals we put off. I've found that breaking down big tasks into tiny, manageable steps makes them less daunting. And sometimes, it's just about starting, even imperfectly. As another great saying goes, 'Hold yourself accountable for goals you keep procrastinating on.' It’s a simple reminder that our inaction is often our own biggest hurdle. Remember, accepting that 'maybe you're the problem' isn't a weakness; it's a profound strength. It means you're brave enough to look inward, learn, and evolve. It transforms you from a passive participant in your own life to an active architect of your character. Let's keep supporting each other on this journey of honest self-reflection and continuous blossoming!

Love this. We need to walk around with active self awareness. Not to beat ourselves up but to make ourselves better and to be aware of our surroundings and others. We can’t achieve perfection, but we can grow and mature upwards.
