... Read morePreparing for labor can be an intense and emotional journey, especially when you’re eager to meet your baby. In my experience, some unconventional methods actually helped start contractions naturally. A memorable moment was craving ice cream — I went to Dairy Queen and indulged in two ice cream cones, which was quite comforting and perhaps even helped stimulate labor. Another key step I took was pumping my colostrum. This isn’t just a way to nourish your baby once born; gently stimulating breast milk production can encourage your body to prepare for delivery. Tracking the timing and intervals between contractions was also very helpful. I started noticing contractions around 3 a.m. and consistently monitored them over the next several hours, logging their frequency and intensity. This helped me understand when it was time to go to the hospital. Contraction tracking apps or even simple timers can be great tools for this process — knowing the interval between contractions helps you and your care provider decide when it's the right time to head to the hospital. For me, going to the hospital at 11 a.m. after this preparation was the natural culmination of the process. Every pregnancy is unique, and while this approach worked well for me, it’s important to consult with your healthcare provider before trying any labor induction methods. Sharing experiences like this can offer emotional support and practical tips for expectant mothers seeking safe and natural ways to encourage labor.

Let me know if you agree (or disagree)
Here are a few of my unpopular marriage opinions: - it’s not always 50/50. Sometimes it’s 80/20, 60/40, or 90/10, and that’s *okay* as long as it fluctuates both ways. - getting mad at or irritated with your partner is normal. We live with and merge lives with another person. It’s not alway
