🍦Being more open about what I eat 🍩 pt.2

⚠️If you are sensitive toward food or eating habits this is not the post for you!!⚠️

🍦 My last food post about what I eat in a day on my period did very well and I just want to thank everyone that was kind to me in the comments. I was very nervous to post that because I knew the food I was posting is not the healthiest and people have strong opinions.

📱 I believe social media posts “what I eat in a day” are unrealistic and make us feel Ashamed about what we are eating daily because every influencer or person on the internet seems to be eating a amazing huge healthy breakfast, a healthy sandwich for lunch, and then some crazy five star dinner you would only see at a fancy restaurant. And their snack is usually like a smoothie or some fruit. Eating like that is amazing!! But I feel like there needs to be more realistic eating habits on social media so less people feel less embarrassed about what they eat.

🏋🏻 For starters I am of healthy weight for my size to before anyone asks and this is what I eat on my period but also while I’m sick I also added in times to in this post!

🍦 Chobani yogurt for breakfast at 6:40am and I also had a coffee. I wanted a donut but forgot to bring it with me haha.

🍜 spicy ramen with some spicy rice cake at 3:00pm for lunch. I like to eat spicy food when I’m sick I did not finish all of my plate though I had maybe three bites left but I was SO HUNGRY so I didn’t get a pic.

🍫 one chocolate egg at 7:00pm. These are sooo good I normally have two but because I was sick I noticed I was eating less today then normal.

🍕 pizza and salad for dinner at 8:30pm. I know this is late but if it was up to me I would make dinner at 5:00pm however the family I live with they cook at 5:00pm and do not like when I’m in the kitchen with them while they cook so I have to wait until they are done which is normally 8:00pm. I also wish I could’ve had more salad but sadly this was all that was left. If you saw my previous post “spend the day with me” you would see that this week is my “broke food” week lol so I wasn’t able to get more salad and just had to use what I already had left.

🥗 And that’s the food I eat! To me yes it’s unhealthy but also I want to believe that most people eat like this on some days to and that’s completely normal. We have healthy days and we have “I’m sick and on my period” days.

... Read moreIt's so interesting to see what questions pop up after sharing a 'what I eat in a day'! I noticed many of you were curious about 'how much caffeine' I might be consuming, especially since I mentioned my morning coffee. It's a great question, and I totally get it – caffeine can be a big part of our daily routines, and it affects everyone differently, especially when you're not feeling 100% or going through hormonal changes like a period. For me, that morning coffee is non-negotiable! It’s usually a standard cup, maybe around 95mg of caffeine. It’s my little kickstart. But honestly, I don't always track every milligram. What I do pay attention to is how I feel. When I'm sick, like in this post, or on my period, my body's needs shift. Sometimes, I might crave less caffeine because I'm already feeling wired or anxious, or more because I need that extra boost to get through the day. It’s easy to overlook other sources of caffeine too! Beyond coffee, things like tea, certain sodas, energy drinks, and even chocolate can add up. For instance, that delicious Ferrero Collection Crispy Egg I had at 7 PM? Chocolate, especially dark chocolate, contains caffeine. While one small egg isn't going to give you a huge jolt, it's something to be aware of if you're sensitive or consuming multiple caffeinated items throughout the day. Even a seemingly innocent treat can contribute! When I'm feeling under the weather, like when I had my Buldak Carbonara Artificial Spicy Chicken Flavor Ramen, I sometimes find that too much caffeine can make me feel even more unsettled or just not help much at all. It's all about listening to your body. If I notice I'm getting jitters, struggling to sleep, or feeling more anxious, that's my cue to maybe swap out my afternoon coffee for a decaf or herbal tea. For those of you trying to figure out your own caffeine sweet spot, my personal advice is to be mindful. You don't necessarily need to meticulously count every milligram (unless you have a specific health reason to!), but just observe how different amounts make you feel. Are you sleeping well? Do you feel energetic or overly wired? These are better indicators than a number on a label, in my opinion. And remember, moderation is key. It's perfectly fine to enjoy your daily coffee or a treat like a Chobani Flip S'mores Greek yogurt (which doesn't have caffeine, but is a lovely comfort food!) or even a chocolate egg. The goal isn't perfection, but rather finding what works for you and your unique body, especially during those times when you need a little extra self-care.

It’s unhealthy if this is all you ate on a regular basis. But a single day of imperfect food will not do any more damage than a single day of perfect food would help. (Unless we’re talking about someone with blood sugar issues that is)
