How do we know what is "true good"?
Some people think
If not arguing with anyone, it's considered good.
If dividing things for friends, it is considered good.
If helping at home, it's considered good.
These are really good things.
But the Bible teaches us that
Goodness does not depend on each person's mind.
God standardized the Law.
To teach us that.
✔ What's right?
✔ What's wrong?
✔ And what should a good life be like?
So the commandment is like
🧭 Compass of life.
📖 What does the Bible teach us?
In Romans 7: 12, the apostle Paul teaches that
God's commandments are things.
Pure.
Fair.
And good.
The commandment allows us to see that
What is God's pleasure?
Such as
Let love God above all else.
To respect parents.
Not lying.
Not stealing.
Not to hurt others.
The commandments are not meant to make life difficult.
But it's meant to protect our lives.

Sometimes people may do well because
Want the teacher to compliment
Want parents to be satisfied
Or want friends to like
But God looks deeper than that.
He looked at the heart.
God wants us to do good.
Because we love Him.
When We Love Jesus
Doing well will not be difficult.
But will become happy.

When we look in the mirror,

The commandment allows us to see that

Children can start doing simple good every day, e.g.
Pray before bed.
Read the Bible.
Obey your parents.
Help at home
A good friend.
Speak the truth.
These little things
Make our lives light for those around us.
🙏 Prayer
Jesus, madam.
Please help me love you more.
Help me understand your commandments.
And help me do the right thing.
Please change my heart.
To be a child who loves Him.
And a light to others.
Pray in the name of Jesus.

Help your children understand what is right and choose what is good every day.
