"Tsugawa Drive-in" was recommended by an acquaintance living in Aga-cho, Niigata Prefecture.
When you step in, there is a nostalgic and comfortable space that feels like you have traveled back in time to the Showa era. The drive-in that you stopped by on an old trip, such as matches unique to the Showa era, nostalgic key chains, leaflets from the time, etc. placed in the store, was exactly there.
Above all, the homemade rice that the landlady greeted with a smile and the hospitality that overflowed was really too warm...
This time, I had "Katsudon and Half Ramen Set" which is the most popular at the restaurant.
It is a nice point that you can freely combine them according to your preference, such as mini sizes and regular sizes, but this set seems to be very popular anyway!

津川ドライブインに初めて訪れた時、昭和の雰囲気がそのまま残る店内の空間にまず驚きました。国道49号線沿いのアクセスの良さも手伝い、地域の人はもちろんドライブ途中の旅行者も多く訪れています。 特に印象的だったのは、女将さんの飾らない笑顔と、自家製にこだわった料理の数々。カツ丼は、昔ながらの醤油ベースのしっかりした味付けで、味の染みた山菜（こごみ）がアクセントになっています。ミニラーメンとのセットはボリューム感もちょうど良く、食べ応え抜群です。 また、手作りカレーは濃厚ながらも家庭的でどこか懐かしい味。女将さんが丁寧に教えてくれた餃子も、自家製のタレと相まって一口で虜になりました。メニューのすべてに手間暇かけられているのが伝わり、その温かさが店内の雰囲気と相まって心身ともに癒されました。 店は水曜定休や正月、お盆、春秋のお彼岸など一定の休業日があるため訪問前の確認がおすすめです。長く愛され続けているこのドライブインの魅力は、味だけでなく女将さんの「変わらない味と温かさ」を大切にする心意気にあると感じました。私もまた必ず訪れたい、そんな昭和レトロな癒しスポットとしておすすめの場所です。
