Ten years ago,

Royal Garden of Hwa Palace

A little boy in a noble dress is sitting reading a book under a big tree.

Evarren, at thirteen,

A child who was rigorously raised to be a "mate of the royal family."

His life is full of rules.

There is no word to indulge yourself.

Until -

The sound of horse footsteps ringing nearby.

Warren looked up and saw someone

A young boy in a sword training suit is trying to gallop, but like a horse.

"Be careful!"

Warren shouted.

But not in time.

The body fell off the horse, hitting the ground hard.

Warren immediately ran in.

"Are you okay?"

Daniel.

Daniel answered hard.

Late in the afternoon, the procession dispersed deep in the woods.

All of a sudden, Warren heard the horse sing hysterically.

And the shouting of people.

"Prince!"

His heart immediately fell.

Warren rushed after the sound.

Before seeing the picture in front -

Daniel's horse lost its foothold near the cliff.

And behind the scenes, the shadow of a black man bent his bow straight.

It wasn't an accident.

It's an assassination.

"Daniel!!"

Warren shouted wholeheartedly.

But Daniel didn't turn around.

Well -

The arrow crept away.

Without thinking, Warren plunged in and pushed Daniel off his horse.

The arrow was fully embroidered into his shoulder.

Warren's body rolled down the hill with the impact.

Daniel opened his eyes wide.

But at that moment, his guards came together.

The killer fled immediately.

"Your Majesty! Is he safe?!"

Daniel panted heavily. Look at the bushes where one body was missing.

A moment ago...

Someone saved him.

But he couldn't see clearly.

Just saw the dark hooded rag.

The guards rushed to kneel.

"I'm too late. I'm sorry!"

Daniel clenched a tight punch.

Before mumbling.

"I thought you helped me."

Warren was secretly taken back by the family's servants.

The arrow is still embedded in the shoulder. The blood is flowing non-stop.

"Sir! Why not say that it was you who saved the Prince of Wales!"

Warren was pale, but still smiling thin.

Hands clenched the silver ring in the chest.

"There's no need."

He panted softly.

"Just him safe is enough."

That night, Warren held the ring all night.

Warren heard the news that Daniel was looking for the man who saved his life.

He remembered only a fuzzy shadow and touch when he was pushed out of the arrow, but he didn't see his face.

One day in the royal garden

Hannah, a close companion, walked towards him.

The expression hesitated, like keeping something for a long time.

"Daniel... there's something I need to tell you."

Daniel looked up from the papers.

"What?"

Hannah clenched the hem tight.

Before speaking softly

"That day... the man who saved you."

Daniel immediately disrupted his heartbeat.

"Do you know?"

Hannah's lips before nodding.

"That person is me."

Daniel went still.

"You?"

Hannah drooped.

"I followed you into the woods because I was worried."

"When I saw the arrow, I pushed you out... but I didn't want you to know, because I was afraid you'd feel indebted."

Daniel looked still

A lot of things don't make sense.

But at the time, he had nothing more to seize.

And the important thing is...

Hannah cried.

Tears that look so sincere

"I'm just glad you're safe."

Daniel slowly reached out to wipe her tears.

"Why didn't you tell me in the first place?"

Hannah smiled tearfully.

"Because I didn't help you to hope for anything."

The words immediately embedded into Daniel's heart.

He held Hannah's hand tight.

"I owe you my life."

Hannah bowed. A thin smile.

But in the eyes... there is something hidden

Not far from there.

Warren stood behind a big tree.

The hand clutched the silver ring in the pocket until it hurt.

He heard everything.

Every word

Seen even when Daniel held Hannah's hand.

He should tell the truth.

Should say that the person who helped was him

But finally... he took one step back.

And turn around and walk away quietly.
