This gorgeous show is about a piano player, also known as the “piano man” that is playing songs that everyone knows and loves at a nearby pub. Everyone is dancing and having a great time until a beautiful woman walks down the stairs entering the pub. Her character name is “the Muse”. She is thinking that the piano man is rather handsome and starts to dance with the other people in the pub. But when he starts trying to make advances towards her and even tries to kiss her, she shuts it down completely. The muse knows that this is not only something that she wasn’t really looking for, but also she can see that the piano man is meant for so much more. As a punishment, the muse takes away the only thing that makes him … him so he can go on a journey spiritually and emotionally. She takes away his piano and his music!! He starts to dream that he is flying around the world and around his mind on a flying piano, and all the dancers in the cast are piano notes. (You can see this scene on the 3rd photo)
The more he starts to dream, he then starts to see the muse. He believes that the more songs that he plays that she knows, she might come and sing to him. He starts playing “Earth Move” by Carole King and the muse appears. But the Muse in his mind toys with his emotions and controls him as if she were a witch. She then climbs aboard the flying piano to let the piano man serenade her. She sees how much the piano man has grown and she gives him back the music that he desires. As the years go by the piano man has made a name for himself, and the muse comes back in person this time, so that they can be together forever.
