I am the biggest #Petlover and love talking about my #dog so let’s get into it!
Meet BOI! I named him Boi after Sharpay’s dog from high school musical when I got him my sophomore year. I figured all my dogs should be named after iconic dogs before them. He’s not like most chihuahuas out there that are mean or bite, in fact, he might lick you to death! He’ll be afraid of you at first but he will come around and give you a bunch of kisses! He can roll over and sing. Yes he takes after his mama 🤍 ….its more like a long scream but we’re working on it!
He loves a good #carride to get a pupachino or just to explore and when we get home he will stare at you with loving, adoring eyes #allday !!!! He’s a sleepy boy, but I get it! It’s hard being cute all the time! Must be exhausting. And on top of being cute he’s also super smooth. He will wink at you, loves being a flirt!
... Read moreIt's truly a joy to share my life with Boi, my little Chihuahua who's full of personality! Naming him after Sharpay's iconic dog from High School Musical was a fun decision, and trust me, my Boi certainly lives up to a unique character. He's not just a cute face; he's a tiny bundle of hilarious quirks and endless love. You’ve seen how he gives that famous flirty wink – it’s a daily dose of charm!
Speaking of his personality, Boi has a way of communicating that always makes me laugh, sometimes with what I affectionately call his 'long screams' before we hit the right note! And yes, he loves being the center of attention, especially when he's curled up on his favorite blanket, giving you those wide, adoring eyes. He's a master of the intense stare, especially if he thinks there's a treat involved or if he’s just soaking in some extra cuddles. It’s amazing how much personality can fit into such a small body!
As a Chihuahua owner, I've learned a lot about keeping these tiny dogs happy and healthy. While Boi is generally a robust little guy, it's good to be aware of common Chihuahua health considerations. For example, dental health is super important for small breeds; regular brushing and vet check-ups for cleaning can prevent issues down the line. I always try to make sure Boi has dental-friendly treats. Another thing to watch out for is patellar luxation, a common knee issue in small dogs. While Boi hasn't had any problems, it's something I keep an eye on, especially during his energetic playtimes. Hypoglycemia can also be a concern for very small Chihuahuas, so keeping them on a consistent feeding schedule is key. Ensuring they stay warm is also vital, as they can get chilly easily, which is why Boi loves to be curled up and cozy under blankets, especially during his sleepy moments. Always consult your vet for any specific concerns, but just being aware can make a big difference in their well-being.
Boi's love for car rides, especially for a pup cup, is legendary! It's one of our favorite ways to bond and explore. He gets so excited, looking out the window, taking in all the new sights and smells. It's these simple moments, like watching him enjoy a pup cup or seeing him sleeping soundly, that make being a dog mom so rewarding. If you're considering a Chihuahua, be prepared for a tiny shadow who will melt your heart with endless affection, funny antics, and those unforgettable, expressive stares. They truly are unique companions!
