... Read moreHey fellow Poppy Playtime fans! I'm so excited to share more about my original character, Mary Marionette. You saw the sketch, and I really hope you connect with her story! When I was designing Mary, I wanted to create an OC that felt truly at home in the eerie, yet captivating, world of Poppy Playtime. I imagined her as a forgotten toy, a skeletal puppet brought to life by the factory's strange energy. That's why I gave her that distinct skeletal look, combined with delicate ballet shoes โ€“ a macabre blend of grace and decay. Her messy hair and mechanical arm aren't just for show; they tell a story of her past. Perhaps she was damaged during the factory's downfall, her original plush form decaying to reveal the mechanism beneath, or maybe she was an early, experimental prototype. I love thinking about how these details add to her mysterious charm. Itโ€™s all part of making a really compelling Poppy Playtime OC! As for her age, I pictured Mary as eternally nine years old, forever stuck in that childhood innocence, yet with the wisdom (or perhaps weariness) of an ancient toy. Her favorite colors, pink and blue, are a nod to the classic toy aesthetics, but with a slightly faded, almost haunting quality that fits the gameโ€™s atmosphere. Imagine her wandering the dark halls, a flash of faded pink and blue in the shadows. And of course, I had to think about her connections! It's so fun to imagine how OCs interact with the established characters. Mary Marionette has a special bond with Doey, who I see as a protective, slightly older figure, and a playful rivalry with Kissy Missy. The idea of her befriending the Nightmare critters felt natural because they're also a bit misunderstood and creepy, just like she is! It adds another layer to her character, showing that even in a scary world, there are unique friendships formed. Creating Poppy Playtime fanart, especially OCs like Mary, lets us dive deeper into the lore and expand the universe in our own ways. Itโ€™s amazing to see what other artists come up with for their Poppy Playtime OC's and imagining different Poppy Playtime ships or friendships. Whether you're drawing a Poppy Playtime oc puppet or something totally different, the possibilities are endless. I'm always looking for inspiration and love seeing other doey fanart poppy playtime creations or even concepts like nightmare kissy missy. What kind of adventures do you think Mary Marionette would get into? Iโ€™d love to hear your thoughts and maybe even see your own Poppy Playtime OC scary designs! Keep creating, everyone!
