Transport around Batam is easy with many attractions reachable within 10–15 minutes by Grab. One tip: if you intend to use the kettle in your room, best to request it and be prepared for a slight odor, despite boiling water multiple times. Despite this minor inconvenience, the overall cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms and bathrooms made my stay very pleasant.
