🌿 Floating above lotus dreams at Madoobua Phuket

If you’ve seen those viral drone shots of people “standing” on giant lily pads — this is the place.

Visiting Madoobua Phuket honestly felt like stepping into a surreal, Pinterest-perfect moment… but there are definitely some things you should know before going 👀

📸 The iconic drone shoot experience

The highlight here is the drone photography over the massive lily pond 🌿✨

• I paid 800 baht for a single 10-shot only drone package (see last pic for price packages)

• They accept cash only at the counter by the right side of entrance (if I’m not mistaken, so come prepared & the staff at the booth isn't exactly the friendliest)

• Only 10 drone shots — strictly no retakes. Out of the total 10 shots i've taken, i think i only like 3 😅

It’s a one-shot kind of experience, so every pose counts!!

☀️ Be ready for the HEAT

No joke… it’s insanely hot 🥵

You’re fully exposed under the sun while waiting and shooting, so:

• 🕶 Bring sunglasses

• 🧴 Load up on sunblock, reapply!

• 💦 Stay hydrated

💃 Posing tips (super important!!)

The staff will guide you on poses, but TRUST ME:

• Do your homework beforehand

• Look up photos/videos so you know how poses look from a drone angle

• They will air drop you your photos immediately after the session, whether you like them or not.

It feels very different from normal photos, and preparation makes a huge difference!

🌸 Free photo spots available too!

Even if you don’t go for the drone shoot, there are:

• Free photo zones right in front of the lily pond, but you might have to queue for your turn if it's crowded.

Perfect for getting pretty shots without spending extra $$

🚗 Getting there

It’s about:

• ~1 hour drive from Kata or Patong area

• Try to get there in the morning so the weather is not too unbearable

So plan your trip properly, maybe pair it with other spots nearby!

💭 Overall thoughts

It’s a unique, once-in-a-lifetime kind of experience. A little pricey for 10 shots and no retakes, but if you’re here for that dreamy lotus shot, it might just be worth it, for once!

Would I go again? Maybe not.

But am I glad I did it once? 100% yes.

Rented a boat at Phuket for 2000 baht for 8 pax!
When in Phuket, many have surely wanted to try the classic island-hopping tours. But for my family, with kids and elderly, it surely is not convenient. Early reporting times, expensive prices per pax (~$50sgd per pax), weather uncertainties… all of these made it difficult for me to choose the class

5D4N Phuket Trip ✨
We decided to rent a car so that we would not have to wait so long for Bolt/Grab. If you are staying in Patong, would not recommend for the need to drive! Make sure you plan your itinerary properly! We were stuck in traffic jam multiple times as we had driven from Patong area to Central Area of Phu
