Survived out of spite

2/22 Edited to

... Read moreSurviving domestic violence is often a journey filled with immense challenges, but it's also a testament to human strength and perseverance. From my personal experience and countless stories I've heard, the moment you realize that being strong is the only option marks a turning point. It’s not just about physical survival but reclaiming your sense of self-worth and hope for the future. Many survivors describe how the pain and trauma initially felt overwhelming, yet with time, they found motivation in the simple act of surviving “out of spite” — using their pain as fuel to push forward rather than be held captive by it. Support networks, therapy, and community resources play a vital role in this healing process. They can offer guidance, safety, and understanding when the path seems darkest. Also, acknowledging the emotions tied to domestic violence, including anger, fear, and anxiety, is crucial for healing. The phrase from the image, “HOW KNOW YOU NEVER trong YOU ARE UNTIL BEING STRONG IS THE ONLY Choice YOU HAVE,” resonates deeply because often survivors discover inner strength beyond what they imagined possible. If you or someone you know is facing domestic violence, reaching out to trusted friends, professional counselors, or support groups can make the difference. Remember, survival is an act of courage, and every step toward freedom is a victory worth celebrating. Your strength is your story, and it has the power to inspire others to break free and find peace.

Life after DV/trauma/loss.. must read**
For 18 years of my life I lived in fight or flight mode & I mean that to my core. The trauma I suffered isn’t anything I’d wish on anyone!! I’m going to be uploading my story in parts in deeper efforts to encourage any one who may be stuck in the cycle of leaving and staying to leave and LIVE.
